Terms & Conditions

Booking and payment

  • All lesson prices are listed on our pricing page and include VAT.
  • Payment is required at time of booking. We accept card payments through Stripe.
  • Block bookings (3, 6, or 12 lessons) must be used within 12 months of purchase.

Cancellation policy

  • Cancel or reschedule with at least 24 hours notice at no charge.
  • Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will be charged in full.
  • If you do not show up for a booked lesson, the lesson is forfeited.
  • We reserve the right to cancel lessons due to severe weather or instructor illness. In this case, lessons will be rescheduled at no cost.

Refund policy

  • Single lessons: refundable if cancelled with 24+ hours notice.
  • Block bookings: unused lessons can be refunded on a pro-rata basis (minus any single-lesson rate difference) if requested within 12 months.
  • Gift vouchers are non-refundable but transferable.

Lesson requirements

  • You must hold a valid Irish learner permit for the category of vehicle being used.
  • You must be fit to drive. If your instructor believes you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs, the lesson will be cancelled and charged in full.
  • Learners under 17 cannot take driving lessons on public roads.

EDT lessons

  • All EDT lessons are logged on the RSA system using your learner permit number.
  • You need 12 EDT lessons before sitting your driving test. This is an RSA requirement, not ours.
  • EDT lessons are 60 minutes each and follow the RSA syllabus.

Pretest and car hire

  • Pretest packages include one lesson plus car hire for your driving test.
  • The car hire is valid for one test attempt at the agreed test centre.
  • If you fail your test, additional pretest lessons and car hire can be booked separately.

Instructor assignment

  • We will assign an instructor based on your location and availability.
  • All our instructors are ADI (Approved Driving Instructor) registered with the RSA.
  • If you wish to change instructor, contact us and we will reassign where possible.

Liability

  • All lesson vehicles are fully insured and taxed.
  • RSA School of Motoring Cork is not liable for driving test results.
  • We are not responsible for items left in lesson vehicles.
